Dear Friends!
As usual, life here is busy and hectic lately. We have been so blessed to have Staci back to the Baby Center as the director and there have been some great changes made, including bringing in many more babies! After Brandon and Hope arrived (see post from February 18th), we welcomed Angela, Johnny, Nicolas, Rebecca, Michael, and Wycliffe about a week later! They have all adapted very quickly and are enjoying their new life at the baby center. And just this week, one month old baby Rose came from Tenwek Hospital… we don’t have pictures of her yet, but we’ll put some up soon! See pictures below (from left to right, top to bottom): Nicholas, Wycliffe, Angela, Michael, Johnny, Rebecca.
We have also had to say goodbye to several kids as well - Mesh and Sarah have both found homes in the last week or so! It was very sad saying goodbye to them but we couldn’t have asked for better parents for either of them. They are both excited and so fortunate to be going to their new families. Please pray that their transitions from the Baby Center to their homes will continue to go well.
Since I came there are only 4 of the original toddlers left at the baby center. It is very bittersweet to watch them go, but I am overjoyed that they all finally have wonderful Christian families who will love them way more than we ever could.

It has been such a great blessing having Erika Ressler here working with me at the Baby Center. She has been helping me out with the toddlers and a lot of physical therapy work with the babies. These children are desperate for one on one attention and she has helped them so much by holding them and loving them. We’ve also really appreciated having an extra pair of hands at the baby center!
Thanks so much for reading our blog, and for your support and prayers. Please keep in touch!
Also, pray for us this Friday as we are having the youth group over for an overnighter at our house. We’re currently going through the book of James, so we’re going to be talking about what our faith should look like in practice. “Faith without deeds is dead.” Hopefully we can have some good conversations and fun... and some sleep would be nice. : )
Thanks again,
Colleen (& Cason)
Sleep is completely overrated. (Says the girl who needs 8 hours to function.) Yay for Sarah and Mesh!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been studying James as well! And believe it or not, I just noticed that the passage about faith without deeds is dead comes right after James 1:27!
